Why You Need Mortgage Protection Insurance

Mortgage Protection

Insurance that simply helps to guarantee the family from losing the family home.

You may be asking… Don’t the life insurance on the mortgage cover that? Hmm… maybe, but most likely not. The reason I say that is; about 98% of mortgages do not have in place the proper Mortgage Protection plan.

Ask yourself this: If 2 people are on the mortgage (husband and wife), and one of them do not make it home from work or the store, do you think the mortgage will now be paid off, not by the people who supplied the mortgage. Due to, one holder of the mortgage is still living.

Mortgage Protection

Okay, you might be saying “we have enough life insurance coverage if anything happens,” really? Did you know that around 91% of the mortgage holders do not have enough life insurance on their own to do just that, pay off the mortgage?

What if some kind of accident occurs and the main bread-winner is now disabled, or the other mortgage holder becomes critically ill? Do you think that the bank or mortgage company is going to allow non-payments?

Anything can happen at any given time, and if and when it does, you could be facing just a few payments from an eviction or foreclosure. Yes, even if you paid extra payments and were always on time.

Mortgage Protection

Nevertheless, without proper Mortgage Protection Insurance for your home, it would be like living in a “rental with option to buy.” Therefore, your home is not a home; it is just a house that you keep sinking money into with no security.

You may say…”My Mortgage already has Term Life Insurance,” you are correct. However, if two people are on the mortgage and one passes, the mortgage is not paid off. Now the family perhaps has the lose of an income, or now the bread-winner must also pay for Day Care, housekeeper and other expenses.
What if the main bread-winner or spouse becomes Critically Ill, or becomes Disabled? This is where Mortgage Protection Insurance can come into play.
